Our CAREGivers
|
Qualifications
- Our staff of CAREGivers and Home Health Aides work
part-time and are available for day, evening and overnight
shifts. When applying for employment, they must provide us
with personal and business references, and are then
screened through criminal background and driving record
checks. Upon hiring, they attend an orientation and
training session to review our policies and to become
familiar with the issues and challenges of working with
the elderly.

Ongoing
Training - CAREGivers participate in our CAREGiver
Education Program in which they complete 24 lessons on
eldercare issues, working at a self-directed pace. We also
provide them with the CAREGiver Safety Training Guide.
Staff meetings are held b-annually with CAREGivers, office
staff, and the owners, to encourage teamwork, provide
continuous education, and afford the opportunity to
discuss current issues of the business. There are
also Employee Roundtables conducted periodically for more
open communication and ongoing training between the office
staff and field staff.

The Home Instead Senior Care
Alzheimer's Program - Select CAREGivers are invited
to complete this extensive training program developed by
the George C. Glenner Alzheimer's Family Centers in San
Diego, California in collaboration with Home Instead
Senior Care. This training program enables the CAREGivers
to provide specialized, non-medical care to dementia
clients in their home setting.
