Help for Vero Beach-Area Seniors –
a personal story …
You
Can't Clip a Snowbird's Wings
I
freaked out a little when mom and dad decided to become snowbirds,
flying down to Vero Beach each year before the frigid weather
appeared up north. And when they decided to stay there year round,
it was hard to understand how they could leave a place they'd called
home their whole lives. And what would I do without them nearby?
Paradise
Found
It
only took one trip to Vero and the surrounding area to understand
how my folks had found their paradise, and our visits became
semi-annual events. My scrapbooks are filled with sweet memories of
Dad and the boys at Dodgertown for Spring Training, Mom and I with
our romance novels, beach chairs and windblown hair, and the
seashells the kids gathered at South Beach Park.
Dealing
with Change
It's been terribly hard since Dad
died last year. We've all been worried about Mom living on her own.
I wish I could do more, but she's so far away. She needs some
regular help, but she's fiercely determined not to give up her
independence. This has been a lot for her to deal with, and the last
thing she needs is another big change like a move. I want to get her
the care she deserves, but how can I ask her to give up the home she
dearly loves?

About the Owners
Home
Instead Senior Care is owned and operated by Ron and Christine
Krasnansky. Ron and Christine opened two Home Instead Senior Care
offices in State College and Saxton, Pennsylvania in 2002 and 2003,
respectively. Presently those two offices care for more than 340
clients and employ over 300 CAREGivers.
Ron
and Christine are close colleagues with Chris and Don Loftus, the
founders of the Vero Beach operation. In late 2008, preparing for
retirement, Chris and Don sold the Home Instead business to Ron and
Christine, who took over management of the office and personally
moved to the Wabasso area. Since
that transition the office hasn’t changed too much. Our focus
remains, as always, on providing top-quality care. In fact, one of
the first significant projects for Ron upon purchasing the business
was getting it accredited.

ACHC
Accredited – Focus on Quality
Home
Instead Senior Care is proud to announce our home health division
has become accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health
Care, Inc. (ACHC). To become accredited was a significant
achievement, one we’re proud of.
It shows we have
"gone the extra mile" to assure quality. Accreditation is
a means of measuring the organizational management, internal
processes, client safety practices, and service outcomes.
Accreditation
is professional peer review administered by a private nonprofit
organization, which is structured to establish higher standards than
state or federal requirements. Accreditation is the most commonly
accepted means of assuring quality care.
About
the Staff
Our
office staff and over 75 CAREGivers and Home Health Aides are
thoroughly screened, bonded, insured and are covered by the
company's Workmen's Compensation insurance as well as liability
insurance. Our CAREGivers and Home Health Aides are all employees of
Home Instead Senior Care and their payroll and other required taxes
are paid by the Company. In requiring this level of quality, Ron and
Christine allow thousands of seniors and their families in the local
area to enjoy peace of mind, independence, and dignity. Ron is a
hands-on owner with an exemplary caring spirit. He is committed to
improving the lives of seniors in the Treasure Coast area, and proud
of our mission:
To
provide compassionate care and inspiration to our local seniors so
they may remain safely at home.
We aim to exceed objectives.
